Freedom obviously means to do whatever you want as per definition. But have you actually thought about it? Are you actually feeling the essence of being free?  Ask yourself as no one can trap you until you want.

What Does Freedom Mean to Me

Freedom to me means to do multiple things without listening to others or accepting orders from them. When I asked my daughter what is freedom? The first thing she asks me what is it?? Now I take it in two ways… Good thing is that she is not trapped anywhere and feel safe and secure under our roof. But the bad thing is she doesn’t know actually the meaning of freedom.

If she is being stubborn on some things, and if I agree with her actions, she dances like a free bird. This means freedom for each individual differs.

Let me tell you one personal example, I was in S.Y. BSc and was selected for the project in inter-college competition and had to go to another college to take the model along with my teammates. Till F.Y. BSc my parents accompanied me for each n every project or any competition.

This was the first time I had gone alone to the biggest college of Mumbai and it was near the beach too. So after completing the project submission, my friend told us to go to beachside.

Freedom is…

Freedom to me
Freedom to me

I still remember the moment when I was flying like a free bird near the beach and my friends were laughing at my childish behavior. Only my bestie could understand the moment and she said ” today for the first time she is living for herself. This doesn’t mean that my parents didn’t take us to picnic. We always went to trips under the protective shield of our parents.

So to me, freedom means to do friendships with anyone, who works for us.

Sometimes people want it from pushy parents who keep on negating about what to do, what not to do.
But I feel over freedom to a child brings stubbornness and no respect for elders. So it should not be given as free air, rather it should be given in form of a drop of water, each drop is expensive and has meant it.

Freedom also can also cater to environmental problems like I feel I need it from Mumbai traffic which is creating the hell of our life. I also want freedom from pollution and population which is growing in India like swarming ants.

I want to get freedom from people who are heartless towards animals and go beyond limits to show their cruelty towards them.

Freedom from corruption, women harassment, and crimes in kids.

Freedom from blame games, unethical attitudes of people creating a mess for other people just because of such cheap mindset.  Overall to me, it does which is right for everyone.
