We are here again with the A to Z challenge by #BlogChatterA2Z. You might have gone through the previous article that we have covered on effective parenting. So, now it is the time to reveal about the alphabet F that will help you to be an effective parent. I know you all are super excited to know about the 3F’s, so you don’t have to wait much to learn about the 3F’s of effective parenting.

Let’s discuss the important parenting F’s that makes you a good parent.

Firm

It is about being firm with your decision for your child. We all want the best for our kids. Isn’t it? What about accurate parenting? Firm parenting creates an essence of balance. Parenting helps your child to learn about containment and limits. Parents have to make a reasonable and predictable way to understand how far the limits can be stretched and when the limits are strictly enforced.

Fair

Another essential key for effective parenting is to be “Fair”. Teach your children about the concept of “Fairness”. Helping them understand being fair is an important part of growing up and practising empathy. How to treat people equally? Make them learn about being fair and unfair. This will help your kid to understand the concept of fairness, equality, and intense emotions. Make them learn about being fair with everyone, teach them about being honest, and not to discriminate.

Friendly

Being friends with your kids will not only help them to trust you but you will be the first person they will reach out to whenever they are feeling happy or sad. Also, teach your kids to be good friends with people around them. Being too strict and bossy around your children will not help them to open up.

Never try too hard to be their friends give them their own space. Let them take their own decision. Obviously, you need to be there by their side. But let them breathe and let them grow their wings so that they can fly high.

These three F’s of effective parenting will help you be a good parent. Stay tuned for the next Alphabet with me in the A to Z challenge by #BlogChatterA2Z.

3E’s of Effective Parenting

We are again back with our super A to Z challenge by #BlogChatterA2Z series. We have already completed the four alphabets in our series. This blog is all about 3E’s which makes you an effective parent that every parent should learn. So let us discuss.

Embrace

The first E tells you about embracing your kid. Embrace your child for who they are. You have to tell them how unique they are. Your bossy attitude may hurt them sometimes. Allow your child to make their decisions and embrace their individuality. Tell them they have their own individuality. This helps them to be confident and motivated. And, it will help you to create an extraordinary bond with your kid.

Because if you believe in them, then they will put their faith in themselves. Pinpointing to their insecurities will make them underconfident.

Empower

Empower your kid means giving your children choices, listen to them, respect their decisions and encourage your child to follow their interests. If you are teaching something to your child then guide them in a manner that encourages their abilities and potential for positive growth. Sometimes they want us to empower them with our words. It will make your bond stronger with your child. Empower your kids with positive thoughts and vibes.

Give them the comfort of our words and positive actions towards them will motivate them to be their best versions of themselves.

Encourage

Kids are responsible to find what motivates them. In order to encourage them, celebrate their accomplishments, praise them for their efforts but be careful.  If you will encourage them then, they will express their opinion with you, talk about their feelings and choices. Acknowledge them in different ways sometimes by your actions or words. Remember to support your child for the good actions but teach them for their wrong behaviors.

Never forget these 3E’s in your parenting journey. Embracing, empowering, and encouraging your child will give them hope that they can move mountains and do the best because you trust them.

Make sure to leave your comments if you like this blog and I will be coming up with the next alphabet which will guide you to be an effective parent.

Discipline

Do you know learning self-discipline has more power to face challenges as compared to those who are not being taught about being self-disciplined? Teaching your kids the difference between what is good and what is bad, makes them understand how it affects life. Discipline helps your kid to be confident and always keeps them motivated.

Determination

Determination is important in everyone’s life and what matters is to make your child understand learn about it, determination towards the goal. How can they work on it? You just have to appreciate their effort, remind them what they want to achieve. Allow them to make their choices and decisions but don’t forget to correct them when they are wrong. You can even add self-determination activities to their curriculum.

Dedication

A child’s learning plays an important part and a devoted parent can bring a lot out of them. Don’t you think? Educate your child that where they should dedicate their efforts. How they are utilizing their efforts and where they should not? Trust me this is the right age and time to make them learn what is good for them and what is bad? 3Cs to Avoid in Parenting

We are here again with our A to Z challenge with #BlogChatterA2Z. It’s time to reveal another article which starts from C.

Since, I have told in the past two articles that what to do to be an effective parent, here I am sharing the C, to tell you what not to do if you want to enhance your parenting skills.

So, you might have quite guess the topic 3Cs to avoid for being an effective parent.

Criticize

The studies show that frequently criticizing your kid can make them bully others. Don’t you think sometimes the things we do as parents on our child might have long-lasting consequences? Yeah, it does have, and it can turn out to be the worst. If you criticize your child then stop it now, they feel unloved and they start comparing you with others. Many parents make the mistake of criticizing their child in front of others. Do you think this is the right way?

The right way is to explain to them a reason why certain things are immoral and tell them their consequence. Communicating your thoughts makes your relationship healthier and stronger.

Compare

Comparing your child with others is completely a No-No. Being a parent you need to realize that kids have different abilities, and comparing them can demotivate them and bring their morale down. Your appreciation can make them feel confident and boost their mind in creativity.

Just imagine, don’t you get disappointed when your kids start comparing you with their friend’s parents? Think twice before comparing them with their peers.

 Compete

Nowadays, fighting for 1st rank and expecting your child to be number one has become a normal task. But why? Why your kids have to participate in every race?

I have seen parents and maybe you guys might sometimes compete with your kid with their friends, cousins, etc. I really want to know why?

Every child is special and they have different talents. So, don’t ask them to compete with them. Instead, ask them to follow their heart. If someone is good at sports then it is possible that your child will be good at something else. Encourage them for what they are doing.

I hope you will avoid these 3Cs in your parenting journey. I will be coming up with the alphabet ‘D’ which guides you to be an effective parent.

Be Available

The first B tells you about being available for the kids. Our kids notice when we are and when we are not present around them. Be available for your kids not only when they need it, but also when they want to spend some ‘me’ time with you. Remember your kids are always in search of you. Play with them, spend some time, teach good habits, etc. Let your kids know that you are in their vicinity. Being available at the times when they need makes your relationship stronger.

Be Patient

Being impatient with your child can damage your relationship. It actually takes a lot of time to be patient with your kid. Yelling on your kids can worsen your relationship with them. Remember to make them understand calmly and patiently will help you to gain their confidence. This is one of the key lessons of effective parenting. Try to create a good bond with your kids. Don’t Yell! Be patient with your words and actions with your kids.

Believe in Yourself

Sometimes, parents are really scared whether they are handling their kids in a good way or not. Are they good parents? Trust me every parent has such doubts. Believe in yourself, and trust your abilities to be a good parent. Doubting your parenting abilities never makes you an effective parent.

3A’s of Parenting

Hola! We are again back in April with our A-Z blogging challenge by #BlogchatterA2Z. Trust me, it is an extreme pleasure to participate in this challenge for the past 4 years and it excites me every time. Your wait is finally over, and I am coming up with a new theme to this challenge, i.e. A-Z becoming an effective parent. If you are a parent then this blog will be worth it. What are you thinking? This niche is related and close to my heart as every parent should know how effective parenting is important and how it helps you and your child to make a stronger bond.

So, let’s start with alphabet A, Do you know what are the 3A’s of becoming an effective parent? If not they do give a full read to this blog.

 Acceptance

Acceptance is the key to open the door to different opportunities. Once we become parents, the acceptance of our child shows how she/he is making parenting effective as we are unlocking the door of possibilities, and finding the new and creative solution to every hurdle. In my opinion, once you start accepting the situation, your whole perspective towards parenting will change. When I started hurdles came around but trust me the situation tremendously changed.

Availability

The availability towards your child might be tough but it is not impossible. You have to take them as a priority, this will help them gain trust and open up to you. Don’t stress! Being a parent makes them believe, no matter what the situation is you will be available with them. This will help your child be more confident. Availability towards my children is the key and being available to them is a sense of identity that makes them conclude that they are secure.

Affirmation

Parents Affirmation is security, praising and encouraging them makes them believe that they are important to you. Make a positive statement every time they do something good, talk about their good traits. Our children have a desire of being loved, they feel valued and loved for what they are. So, affirm their attributes.

There is a whole lot of difference between effective parenting and good parenting. Don’t you agree with it? A loving parenting guide can bring a change not only in parents but as well as children’s life.

Why Zebra Print Gift Wrapping With Kids?

Zebras are one of the cutest animals and your kids might have seen them on TVs, the internet, or even in zoos. And those zebra patterns on clothing or different materials are in trend. And with these simple tricks, you can not make Zebra printed gift wrapping papers but also mugs, paintings, or whatnot!

Material Required for the Zebra Print Gift Wrapping With Kids

For making zebra print Gift Wrapping Paper with kids, all you need is a white chart paper for gifting, pencils and black paint (or even a sketch pen will work too)

How to do “Zebra Print Gift Wrapping With Kids”

There is no specific process or the way to make the zebra print gift wrapping papers with kids. As you have seen, the zebra patterns are pretty random. So, google for the Zebra pattern and take the white sheet. Try to draw the lines randomly with the light hand. And then fill the black colour inside the patterns and let it dry.

Now, you have your own customized zebra print gift wrapping paper. It’s too simple, isn’t it? Well, you can also make it more colourful by choosing any favourite and fill the white space to give it a different vibe.

Key Learnings

It was a different yet new activity for me and my daughter as well. We haven’t tried to make gift wrapping paper before. But, now that we have tried it out, we are going to experiment with different colours and it has also encouraged us to try out a variety of animal printed gift wrapping papers. Yoga Session With Kids

Are your kids becoming a couch potato during this quarantine period? It’s okay if they are demanding new snacks or if you are feeding them with the new snacks, but then should spend their energy otherwise it would develop a layer of fat on their body.

No, I am not turning into a parenting and traveller blogger into a nutritionist. But, as an adult we need to burn some calories throughout the day, so do our kids too.

If you are following this series, then you might know that I have participated in the AtoZ Blogging Challenge with #BlogChatterA2Z and the topic for this blogging challenge is the list of fun activities to do with your kids during the quarantine period.

We have come a long way and this is the second last alphabet of the series i.e., Y and Y for Yoga Sessions with Kids. I know I have included exercise as one of the activities in this series. But, yoga and exercise are two different things. And, moreover, you should need to know the basic asanas of Yoga as it has multiple benefits.

Yoga Session With KidsWhy Yoga Session With Kids?

Earlier kids are used to busy with their homework, schools, and playing and now they don’t have to do these things until the lockdown is over, so why not teach them something different. Yoga isn’t a one-day activity like most of the exercises. If you want your kids to practice yoga and gain its benefits, then they need to do it consistently.

Material Required for the Yoga Session With Kids

If you know yoga perfectly then you just need a yoga mat to perform all the asanas. If you don’t know, there are a lot of YouTube tutorials that teach step by step Yoga Asanas that you can do with your kids.

How to do “Yoga Session With Kids”

Before starting away from the yoga asanas, tell them about the Yoga along with its history. Also, don’t forget to tell the benefits of Yoga to our mind and body. Because this might tempt them to follow it regularly.

Teach them the breathing techniques. One of the most known breathing techniques is to inhale the oxygen until the count of three and exhale it by making a buzzing sound like a bee. Let them repeat this breathing technique 3-5 times and let them identify the sensation when they repeat this activity.

Now, start with some of the basic poses like Cobra Pose, Downward Facing Dog, Frog/Squat Pose, Butterfly Yoga Pose, Puppy Pose, and Balancing Flamingo Pose. With every yoga pose, tell them their benefits and keep an eye on their moments if they are doing it correctly or not.

Key Learnings

As we all know, Yoga enhances flexibility and also gives a much needed mental peace. I have also added meditation along with the yoga sessions to multiply its positive effects.

My Overall Experience

It was such a great activity to do it with kids and you can also invite other family members to participate as well. This will help to encourage the child and it can be a great habit that might be developed within your kids.

So, try out this activity with your kids too, and don’t forget to share the experience in the comment section below. If possible, you can also share the pictures of doing Yoga with your kids and tag me, @sneha_261013 on Instagram.
