Celebrating my valentines day in Sailing boat with PlanBuddy

Love is eternal and so is the day it is celebrated on. So NO I am not late to wish you all. In fact, the reason I am posting this article about Valentine’s Day a bit late is because I was nostalgic about the way I spend my Valentine’s Day. Did you read my blog on Gift ideas for valentines day. Did you guys have a good time spending it with your loved ones or loved self? If you did or even if you did not do read on so that you could get some good ideas to spend a day the way I did, or may be just a good read to recommend to your friends or relatives.  Go on. Read about it in detail.

#Love flourish on #Valentine’s Day

Mesmerised, Astonishing, Wonderful, Beautiful, and how more amazing our love can be. Although just a day dedicated to this jaw-dropping feeling and to celebrate romance would not be enough. Although we celebrate life every day we do love Birthdays and we do party and have a good time with our family and friends and loved ones but we do celebrate life every single time. I guess all my readers would agree to that. With that point covered, coming back to my experience of the way I celebrated Valentine’s Day, how did you celebrate it? Some of my friends wrote to me that they went to a resort and just relaxed their way out to rekindle the romance with their partners. Some of them went to do paragliding and yes after reading my article about Tandem he made sure he checked it off his bucket list. He sure had a great time with his family there. Lastly some of my friends just sat back at home watching cricket or Netflix.

What my Imagination led to…

“Love is a canvas furnished by nature and embroidered by imagination.” This famous saying by one of the famous French philosopher made me think that how could I possibly bring my imagination alive and make this Valentine’s Day a memorable one. So I grabbed a pen and paper and started jotting down my options that me and my better half would love to do. After several cancellations and scribbling and of course Google(ing). I went ahead with my heart and my heart said Mumbai. We have loved Mumbai since ever and the very essence of Mumbai is its proximity to the sea. So there I was my imagination put to good use, I finally had an agenda for a splendid Valentine’s Day.

The motive of celebrating vday

After getting the essentials and wearing something good for the lovely Valentine’s Day. We were on the move. Sailing at Colaba was the first thing on my agenda. So there we went sailing into the beautiful Mumbai Harbour. This even made me think about if I want to make sailing a bigger part of my life. Then I remembered I have so many places to visit and write for you people. A lot of pictures were clicked as memories need to be captured so that we could smile looking at them later. When we halted at Apollo Bunder we then decided to take some time to see the classic monuments of our nations. Something never age they say and the Gateway of India has not been any less fascinating since ever. The Gateway of India is an arch monument built during the 20th century in Bombay, India. The monument was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder on their visit to India in 1911 and continues to amaze us all and make every Mumbaikar proud.

PlanBuddy – the saviour

After clicking the classic picture at Gateway of India we still hadn’t got enough of our sailing adventure. But we weren’t planning to do the same thing again because what’s the fun in that, right? So we decided to go private this time. Hire a private boat and go sailing. But as they say sudden plans also need to be planned. Everyone wanted to enjoy the Mumbai waters and unfortunately for us the Private Boats were booked. Thankfully I did my research well and I ended up with something called as PlanBuddy. Now PlanBuddy is a company that helps us plan our outings by giving certain options and discounts. It worked wonders for me and I finally had my private sailing for two hours. They booked for us a Grey eagle named private sailing boat meant just exclusively for us. Those two hours with the breeze kissing my cheeks and away from all the hustle-bustle of our lives. I could rekindle my romance with my partner and feel the happiness that, that particular romantic moment got for me.

Of Women and Shopping…

From that beautiful sailing experience we went on to shop something as Jewellery is something that is very fascinating at Colaba. After a few hours of window shopping I could not find anything exclusive or something I was looking for. There was nothing in particular on my mind but as we strolled through the shops we did talk a lot and I was sort of enjoying it more than shopping. As they “Sometimes” Women are unpredictable. But everything was so eye-catchy and having a “YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY WEAR THIS” tag kept a heavy weighted stone on my heart and I went on and bought myself a nice dress and some very authentic Afghani Earrings. Oh!! They were gorgeous. shopping at colaba causeway

The mandatory…

A Valentine’s Day Date without a dinner? Sounds incomplete right. So as Plan buddy had decided  to complete the date with some good food and yes a mandatory Valentine’s Day Dinner Date. Colaba has been an excellent option for food with loads of classy restaurants to choose from. The Table Restaurant is what Plan buddy opted for. This is one of the best restaurants serving some really good and tasty food with best options for Vegetarians, Non-Vegetarians and Eggetarians as well. So why did they choose this restaurant? Recently, I had read that the Table restaurant has recently opened their farm to the public with hands-on workshops where alongwith Adrienne Thadani of Fresh and Local, participants discuss design of the farm, build permaculture beds, plant seeds and transplant seedlings, and end with a lunch made of freshly harvested crop from the restaurant. So i suggested them and we had our dinner there.

As Calm as it could be…

After having lip-snacking dishes and desserts to savour our taste. Just when he thought it’s over I had to add a personal touch. So just after travelling for some further distance we landed up at Marine drive. There we spoke about how we used to celebrate our Valentine’s Day to how much we enjoyed today. Being thankful to what we are today we enjoyed the beautiful view of Marine Drive, singing some classic Valentine Day Special Songs. It was so calm, so peaceful there that we kept talking for hours and found ourselves trapped in that moment of Love.

Memories to live with…

As much as we did not want the day to end we all just have 24 hours to spend no matter how good or bad it possibly could be. As we came back home we were very tired and exhausted (as anyone would think we would be). But honestly we had enjoyed every moment to the fullest with loads and loads of memories captured not only on camera or our phone but also in our minds till we last. Those memories which we would live with and cherish always. I hope you all do something like this and grab some memories to cherish and live with and hey once again a very Happy Valentine’s Day.  And yes last but not least i gifted him 3D lithophane gift which is very close to our heart.  THANKS  to Plan buddy for the special planning to make my valentines a sailing and special one.3D GIFT FROM VURO
